What is Divergent Thinking?
Wikipedia states “Divergent Thinking is a thought process or method used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions.” Basically the stuff the entrepreneurs are made out of because they have to look at an idea creatively in order to come up with a innovative and more importantly an impactful solution.
Interestingly enough, divergent thinking isn’t just based on IQ instead, “Psychologists have found that a high IQ (like Albert Einstein) alone does not guarantee creativity. Instead, personality traits that promote divergent thinking are more important. Divergent thinking is found among people with personality traits such as nonconformity, curiosity, willingness to take risks, and persistence.”
Below are five resources to harness and capture the immense power of divergent thinking.
